About Koh Samui island
Koh Samui, a jewel in the Gulf of Thailand, was once a tranquil fishing village and coconut farming community. It was largely isolated from the mainland until the early 20th century. Its name, "Samui," is thought to derive from the Malay word "saboey," meaning "safe haven," reflecting its role as a refuge for fishermen and sailors. The island has evolved into a world-renowned luxury destination while maintaining its rich cultural heritage and natural charm. Climate
